Rodney Sampson, entrepreneur and author of Kingonomics, is hosting an event in Washington,DC on August 22nd and 23rd celebrating the 50thanniversary of Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech. The event will feature a conference with an emphasis on crowdfunding as a tool for economic development and a gala honoring innovators in a variety of industries. Shark Tank Sampson was recently added as the Executive-In-Charge of Diversity and Inclusion to Mark Burnett’s team producing ABC’s “Shark Tank.” One of his first initiatives in that capacity is to include an open casting call for the show at the Kingonomics Conference to be held on August 23rd. Registered conference participants will get priority in the screening for the show. Those interested in being on the show should arrive ready to pitch the casting team as if they were on the show. Serious entrepreneurs will already have a significant portion of their financing round lined up beforehand.
